About us

PaintingsManufaktura Simic & Mravicic began as companionship and cooperation between the academic painter Clement Simic and Ante Mravicic which under the guidance of Clement successfully swam the waters of the art at the first joint exhibition in gallery "Zvonimir" 2001. - Solin.

In the past, this creative duo has made a number of solo exhibitions.

 


KLEMENT SIMIC

Born on  05. 11. 1967 in Igrane, Croatia. He is actively engaged in painting since 1986 . He graduated from the Faculty of  Natural Sciences and Education - direction fine arts in Split 1995.His teachers  were  Ivan Krstulović, Peter Jakelic, Kazimir Hraste, Alexandar Midžor, Mile Skračić and others.

 

As Gerhard Richter, in his art he shows it is not necessery to follow a single cohesive style. Regarding the themes - he works: from  abstraction  to dribbling in soccer;  regarding the techniques – from  oil to margarine. The owners of his portraits are: Luka Modric, Gary Kasparov, Ben Johnson, David Oliver, Sepp Blatter, Martina Hingis, Davor Suker, Manuel Neuer ... and others.

 

A member of HDLU (Croatian Association of Artists) since 2001. With his wife Danica , a son and three daughters- he lives in Tučepi, Croatia



ANTE MRAVICIC - TONCI

Born on September 29, year 1966. in Makarska, where he grew up and graduated from high school. He studied and graduated at the catechetical-theological faculty in Split. With his wife Zdenka and their son Patrik lives in Makarska.

He began to paint in 2001. under the guidance of professor Klement Simic. Along with the Simic, he presented his work at numerous exhibitions.
